Burnley Street, Richmond

About:

This poor Victorian home was literally falling down around the owners, with failing footing, brickwork, roofing, and waterlogged ceilings in desperate need of expert attention. The existing footings were underpinned and the home was made watertight and structurally sound again, before work commenced on the contemporary additions that transformed the tired dilapidated home into a desirable place to live with a functional open plan layout. A ‘pop-top’ style central roof design was adopted to provide natural light deep inside the home where boundary to boundary building made the availability of natural light limited.
